The reader will play in this coveted tournament through the eyes of an aging poker player, who learns to never give up, when it no longer seems possibe to continue, as he comes full circle with his past. It soon becomes apparent that this man has more to worry about then being elminated from this tournament, as hiis past could eliminate him from life life itself. The events, leading up to our ""hero's"" unpredictable performance, revolve around the union of a Jewish New Yorker and a Christian Arkansan Coalminer's daughter. All this set against the excitement of Las Vegas amd the poker god's latest creation, the Final Table Resort."

Reviews

J, Nichols Hardcover SURPRISING TURN OF EVENTS This novel based on the 2033 World Series of Poker is an excellent read. The futuristic setting was amazing. Even someone who knows little to nothing about poker will find this novel exciting and very entertaining. There were great transitions throughout the novel intertwining the past and the present. This novel includes everything you would want in a novel; suspense, excitement, mafia, and murder. I wish I were reading it again for the FIRST time.
