Her husband's career took her and their three young children overseas, followed by further travels with her second husband, living across Cumbria, Wales and Scotland before ultimately retiring to France and Spain. Hilda's lifelong journey with writing included graduating from Open University with a BA in English Literature in her early sixties. Hilda now lives in Devon.
