NAOMI KRYSKE was educated at Rice University, Houston, Texas. She left Texas when she became a Navy wife. Following her husband Larry's retirement from the U. S. Navy, she lived on the Mississippi Gulf Coast until Hurricane Katrina destroyed her home in 2005 and caused her relocation to north Texas. Hurricane Katrina was a catastrophic event, bringing sadness and loss to many. For Naomi it was also the birth of a determination to make something positive come out of the storm. The result was a trilogy of novels which are, however, set in England instead of on the Gulf Coast and which involve a different kind of trauma instead of a devastating natural disaster.
