A Case for Forever

Overview

After surviving a still-unsolved shooting, Judge Theresa Fairchild is left questioning what she's missing in life. A cabin mix-up in Tahoe throws her together with Bree, a captivating stranger. They agree: no last names, no real-life baggage, and no future. But Tess returns home with more than just memories. Brianna O'Brian is fresh off a bitter divorce and newly appointed to the bench. Tahoe is a short break before she begins her new job and her newly single life. The last thing she's looking for is romance, but a no-strings week with her unexpected cabinmate? Well, what happens in Tahoe, stays in Tahoe. When they discover they're judges in the same courthouse, they try to keep things professional. Friendly. Bree isn't ready to think about commitment, and Tess knows she can't handle a fling with a woman she fears could steal her heart. But their chemistry won't quit, and when threats to both women get closer, Tess and Bree must decide whether love is worth the risk.

Author Information

Julia grew up loving animals and pursued a degree in veterinary medicine. She spent several years involved in community service, but now in full retirement, she's an avid writer, reader, artist, and swimmer. Mom to adult children, she has always had fur babies too. She lives on the West Coast, and it's her rescue pup who keeps her in line, loving to reach up and slap her laptop shut when it's time for a break. The joy of discovering the journey to novel writing cannot be overstated. She hopes her admiration for the love, dedication, and competence women bring to the multitude of roles they fill in this complicated world comes through in her writing.
