Overview

The leading hymn writer Timothy Dudley-Smith offers thirty contemporary hymns for the major milestones of the Christian year. They are for all who value the progression of the Gospel accounts from Advent and Christmas to Easter, Pentecost and beyond in their weekly worship. Without being tied to any single liturgical pattern, it focuses on the seasons common to most church calendars. At such times, churches are often looking for fresh musical inspiration. Here, new words are set to well-known tunes, immediately enlarging the repertoire of choirs and congregations alike and all are arranged for SATB choirs. Some new tunes are also included. A resource to enrich seasonal worship, many of the hymns are entirely suitable for general use throughout the year.
