A Butterfly Fluttered by My Eye

Overview

Straying into the bush brings on an encounter with all sorts of creepy crawlies...and some even less friendly critters! Playing on rhyme and sound, A Butterfly Fluttered by My Eye explores the perils of the Australian bush through the perspective of an over-inquisitive child who has wondered where they shouldn't. A clever mix of cautionary and delightful, this story serves to immerse readers in adventure, while learning some key safety tips along the way. Bold printed illustrations capture the sense of excitement, wonder...and danger too...

Since retirement, Cheryl now resides on a bush block near the sea which she shares with her husband and a variety of native animals. Claire Westwood currently lives in Sussex, England. Using mixed media, Claire creates emotional expressions of spontaneous inspiration, with dreamlike, imagined scenes.
