Jack Gray is a rambunctious 13-year old boy. With his parents thinking of moving, Jack is concerned that he will have to leave his school, his girlfriend and his three best friends. Although his parents reassure Jack that he'll still be able to visit, Jack is determined to have as many adventures as he possibly can-just in case! Jack buys Sarah, his girlfriend a friendship ring and rescues his friend, Toby from a tumble into a hole. He then buys a tree frog named Jumpy and enters his pet in a frog race! With all this excitement going on, Jack wonders if he can take care of his new pet. Will Jack keep Jumpy, and will he have to move and leave all his friends?
