Rengasamy Kasinathan, PhD, MBA, PE, is the founder and the President of Environmental Engineering Solutions, PC, a consulting engineering firm in Westchester, New York. He earned a doctoral degree at SUNY Syracuse in ESF bioprocess engineering, focusing on the conversion of paper mill fines to sugar and ultimately to bioplastics, earned an MBA at Fayetteville State University of the University of North Carolina, an MS in energy and atmospheric science at New York University, and a BS in chemical engineering at Annamalai University in India. He is a certified air quality modeler, Energy Manager, and LEED Professional. In 40 years, he has assisted hundreds of clients with air, waste and water related compliance management issues including securing many permits for hospitals, universities, and other industries throughout the United States. He has published several books with CRC Press. Arun Kanchan has over 34 years of experience in environmental consulting and has led major initiatives in air quality management, greenhouse gas accounting, and environmental impact assessments across the United States, the Middle East, and Asia. He has a Ph.D. from the Asian Institute of Technology, where his research examined the co-benefits of climate change mitigation, air pollution reduction, and public health improvements in industrial corridors through remote sensing, GIS, advanced land-use modeling, and data-driven policy analysis. Dr. Kanchan also holds an MBA from Northwestern University's Kellogg School of Management, an M.S. in Engineering Management from the New Jersey Institute of Technology, and a B.Eng. in Mechanical Engineering from the Manipal Institute of Technology. He is responsible for developing environmental, health, and safety services for a U.S.-based environmental consulting firm. He is a Chartered Environmentalist (Fellow of IEMA, U.K.) and a Fellow of the Asia Pacific Initiative for Rural Impact (AIRI).
