Author Information

John C. Skipper is a career newspaperman and a former general manager of a minor league baseball team. He has written several books for McFarland, including biographies of Grover Cleveland Alexander, Dazzy Vance and Charlie Gehringer as well as two books on the Chicago Cubs and A Biographical Dictionary of Major League Baseball Managers (2003).
