Canadian Library Journal Author InformationRoy Stokes (1915-1995) was Director of the School of Library Archival and Information Studies at the University of British Columbia from 1970 until his retirement in 1981. From 1946 to 1970 he taught bibliography in England and at several universities in the U.S. He compiled the volumes on Michael Sadleir and Henry Bradshaw in Scarecrow's Great Bibliographers Series and edited three editions of Esdail's Manual of Bibliography.
