My name is Brian Ellis. I am a husband, father of three, grand-father of two. I am a Medical Technologist and work in a Boston hospital. I have never before written a book, while tracing my family genealogy, I came upon my ancestors - the Pipers. I had no idea of what I was about to discover, all the historical documents that I would find. As I shared these documents with co-workers, someone said, That would make a great book. I scoffed at the idea, that I could write a book, but eventually gave it my best effort. This trial was considered, 'The Trial of the Century', it made headlines in all the newspapers back in 1875 and 1876.
