Overview

A Bat in the Attic is based on a real-life adventure on my grandma's farm. Through a series of twists and turns, I reach the destination I searched for - the attic. Upon the discovery, I figure out more than I intended to. Rushing back to the beginning, another adventure comes to a close while a new one is born.

My name is Upasana Puranik and I am currently a 14-year-old who has held a passion for stories since a young age. It was the summer of third grade, when I wrote my first children's book Puffy the Pufferfish, soon after that other stories followed. A Bat in the Attic was first drafted when I was 9. I am also the author of several other books such as Double Trouble- which is a set of short stories, Puffy the Pufferfish, A Bat in the Attic, Songs for Everyone, and Songs of Everyone 2. These books were developed at a young age from when I was 8 to 11 years old. I am also a composer on the guitar -which I have been playing since I was 8. The first ten songs I composed were made into the book Songs for Everyone. I live in Santa Clara, California, with my parents and younger brother.
