"80/20 - What Matters Most In Design was written by Michael Frank Peterson, a results-driven, award-winning, and accomplished designer with a passion for the design field. Whenever he is asked what he does for fun, he always responds ""My job!"" Michael is a working designer and relates well to the needs of working designers. He runs his design company, Repeter DesignWorks, wth the same passion, principles and practices described in this book. He talks the talk and walks the walk. Besides being the author and publisher of this book, Mike was the author and publisher of Designer-Director, a monthly newsletter for exhibit designers and design directors in the trade show exhibit industry. He has also authored an article for the Last Call column for Event Design Magazine, has several designs published, and has been interviewed by them. He has presented the seminar ""Controlling Costs via Design"" at Exhibitor2008 and 2009 in Las Vegas. Mike won second place in the MOD Awards in 2009 in the 20' X 20' category with his Megaplast exhibit. He has won some ""Best Of Show"" awards as well. Mike has over twenty years experience in the design industry designing everything from graphics, trade show exhibits, retail merchandising units, and showrooms. Mike was a Design Director at The Expo Group, ImageCraft, Southwest Displays & Events, Inc., and Heritage Exhibits - Dallas, totaling more than eleven years in design management before embarking on his company and writing this book."
