Dr. Sofia Iordanidou is an Associate Professor of Journalism and Communication at the Open University of Cyprus (OUC) and the Chairwoman of the Advanced Media Institute, Applied Research in Communication and Journalism. She is the publisher of “Dimosiografia” journal and the website manager of www.dimosiografia.com. Dr. Chrysi Dagoula is an Assistant Professor at the Centre for Media and Journalism Studies, at the University of Groningen, The Netherlands. Her research reflects her broader academic interests on the developments in digital political communication and in digital journalism, and more specifically, on the conceptual discussions on the diachronic relationships between journalism and democracy within the public sphere theory.
