He is a bus driver with Stagecoach East Scotland, based at Glenrothes Depot and was a delivery and fork lift driver prior to this. Before taking up driving he worked for 18 years in a grain mill which supplied barley to the Scotch Whisky industry. His interest in railways goes back fifty years and he has been photographing railway subjects for most of this time. He is a member of the support crew which looks after the two main line registered steam locomotives, 60009 Union of South Africa and 61994 The Great Marquess.
