This book reports on engineering methods and technologies for biomedical applications and for improving quality of life. It covers a wide range of developments relating to medical devices, service robots, technologies for public health & epidemiology, and health education. Further topics include: advanced biomaterials and nanotechnology for tissue engineering and drug delivery, among others, artificial intelligence applications in biomedicine, and green and low-cost technologies.
