Overview

There are hundreds of Bible passages which support the doctrine of the Security of the Believer. The most impressive of those passages have to do with the power and authority of the God who saves us. After saving us the question arises, is He big enough to keep us saved and safe? Many faiths agree that we are saved by simply Believing, with no works on our part. They will not agree, however, that we have no part in maintaining our salvation and getting into Heaven.God does not need our help to carry us from earth to Heaven. He is up to the task. He has sufficient power and authority to see that we arrive safely at our Heavenly home. I have included only verses from the New Testament. However a careful, prayerful reading of the Old Testament will show that the Security of the Believer was a part of the plan of Salvation from the beginning.
