Reviews

'An ingenious concept, unearthing profound and practical advice from ancient Irish proverbs. I applaud this novel approach, finding the marriage of exquisite sayings, the wisdom of salient tips, from breathwork to mindfulness and therapeutic exercises, incredibly empowering.' - Karen Ward, psychotherapist, shamanic teacher and author of The Secrets of Ageless Aging and Glorious Goddesses of Ancient Ireland.

'This is no sentimental collection of Irish wisdom - the proverbs chosen by Fiann Ó Nualláin reflect the often challenging, lived experience of a rural people over the centuries. In his commentaries on the proverbs the author makes good use of his years of working in mental health and emotional wellbeing. I find myself thinking about some of these proverbs as I deal with the demands of my day. They are small but powerful life lessons from people who learned resilience the hard way.' Padraig O’Morain, author Acceptance - create change and move forward. -- Padraig O’Morain 'The book provided many serendipitous moments. It’s packed with profound insights, obviously a life’s work pulsing throughout. I was never one for ‘holistic’ anything but Mr Ó Nuallàin certainly knows his subject and is never condescending or conveying a know-all attitude.' - Pat, Wexford.
