Richard A. Hernandez is the Director for Readiness, G3 Operations, U.S. Marine Corps Forces Pacific in Hawaii. He served in the Marines for 17 years, where he attained the rank of Captain and received both the Joint Commendation and Joint Service Achievement Medals. Richard holds a bachelor's degree in history and a master's degree in systems management. He is an active member of Toastmasters International, where he has earned the Distinguished Toastmaster designation for his proficiency in public speaking and leadership, and has also served as District Governor for Toastmasters in the state of Hawaii. Richard is the proud father of two daughters, Nalia and Kristine, and currently lives in Honolulu.
