Richard holds a bachelor's degree in history and a master's degree in systems management. He is an active member of Toastmasters International, where he has earned the Distinguished Toastmaster designation for his proficiency in public speaking and leadership, and has also served as District Governor for Toastmasters in the state of Hawaii.
