He leads the Advanced Joining Processes Unit (AJPU) of the Institute of Science and Innovation in Mechanical Engineering and Industrial Engineering (INEGI). Paulo A.F. Martins is Professor of Manufacturing at Instituto Superior Técnico, University of Lisbon, Portugal. He is Doctor Technices Honoris Causa by the Technical University of Denmark and Fellow of the International Academy for Production Engineering. His research is focused on forming and joining by forming, and he is co‐author of 6 books and over 400 papers in international journals and conferences. Uwe Reisgen obtained his doctoral degree at the RWTH Aachen University (Germany) in 1995. Since 2007, he is University Professor, Holder of Chair and Head of the ISF—Welding and Joining Institute, RWTH Aachen University, Germany.
