Author Information
Jay Gearan began writing sports articles for newspapers in 1981. His work has appeared in The Gardner News, The Worcester Telegram & Gazette, The Boston Globe, and The Associated Press. A longtime member of the Golf Writers' Association of America, he has also contributed to Golf World Magazine and Southern New England Golfer magazine. After earning his BA at St. Anselm College and his MEd at Boston College, he enjoyed a long teaching career at Gardner High School in his hometown of Gardner, Massachusetts. He continues to teach writing courses at Mount Wachusett Community College in Gardner.
