Reviews

I had the absolute joy of meeting Ed and his beautiful wife, Susan, on a movie set, and from the very beginning, I knew they were something special. They are the kind of people who radiate the love of Jesus without ever needing to say a word. Their kindness, humility, and servant hearts are living testimonies to the one whom they follow. Ed is not only a gifted storyteller, but he also carries the heart of a shepherd and a deep well of biblical wisdom. His book, 365 Hebrew Words Every Christian Should Know, is more than a devotional. It's an invitation to go deeper in your walk with Jesus. Every page is rich with insight, encouragement, and truth that will strengthen your faith and stir your heart. I promise that you won't just read this book; you'll experience it. Shannen Fields-Braswell, award-winning actress, producer, speaker, and cofounder of Uncover Marriage I have often said within my teaching of God's Word that to truly understand, one must hear what the original hearer heard and understand what the original speaker spoke. Within these pages, Ed Grifenhagen explores what readers may have only understood on the surface. Take the dive. It's well worth it. Cameron ""Camy"" Arnett, founder of Christ over Career (COC), filmmaker, and speaker Insightful and inspiring! This devotional, 365 Hebrew Words Every Christian Should Know, will stretch your faith, increase your understanding, and give you a deeper perspective into the Word of God and the layered truth in Scripture. Ed Grifenhagen does a masterful job of weaving biblical truth and meaning with application and humor. I found myself challenged and inspired by learning Hebrew words and how they were spoken. But this book is not just about learning a new language. The Lord spoke these words as he taught and walked with the disciples and preached to the masses. I encourage every believer to read through this devotional over the next year, and I have no doubt that you, too, will find treasure as you deepen your love of God's Word. Alex Kendrick, writer and director This devotional is a daily invitation to discover the riches of God's Word--more valuable than gold and sweeter than honey. Each entry draws you deeper into the heart of Scripture, reminding you that the Bible is not just a book but God's personal revelation of his love, purpose, and grace. It was a gift each day to learn a new Hebrew word, which helped me connect more personally to the Lord. In a world full of noise and distraction, this devotional gently redirects your focus to what truly satisfies--the presence of God and the truth of his Word. It's a well of wisdom and encouragement that refreshes the soul one day at a time. Shari Rigby, filmmaker, author, and speaker Truly Holy Spirit inspired, Ed's words really bring these beautiful biblical truths to life in ways that are so tangible and applicable to my life. Your heart, too, will be greatly impacted as you meditate on these devotions. Thank you, Ed, for writing such a palatable and simple--yet rich and deep--take on these Hebrew words that will help all of us see Jesus like we never have before. Author Information

Ed was raised in a devout Jewish home in South Georgia, immersed in the traditions, holidays, customs, and rituals of his family's faith. His father was a West Point graduate, and his mother's family narrowly escaped Nazi Germany in the late 1930s. For much of his life, Ed dismissed the Bible as nothing more than a book of fairy tales--useful for moral guidance, perhaps, but hardly true. At thirty-five, he decided it was only fair to read the book he had so easily rejected. Disproving it, he assumed, would be simple enough. But God had other plans. On January 2, 2000, he opened to Genesis 1:1 and spent the next year voraciously engulfed, verse by verse, in God's Word. On January 17, 2001, he surrendered his life to Christ. Ed spent three decades in the business world before becoming a pastor, author, and speaker. He currently serves as a lead pastor in Georgia and is the director of the Christian Film Foundation. He also founded M2540--a nonprofit ministry to the homeless--and cofounded Set Shepherds, which provides chaplains on film sets. Married to Susan since 1988, he is the father of two sons and the proud grandfather of four. He holds a BA from the University of Georgia and a master of theological studies (with high distinction) from Liberty University.
