(English) lmihal 1. Cilt: İman ve İbadetler is a comprehensive presentation of the doctrinal and devotional foundations of Islam, articulated through the methodology of the classical Sunni ilmihal tradition. The first section introduces the principles of faith-divine oneness, revelation, prophethood, the unseen realm, resurrection, and decree-framed through Qur'ānic evidence, Prophetic teachings, and the systematic reasoning that characterizes Sunni theology. This section demonstrates how belief forms the epistemic and moral grounding of Muslim life, shaping one's understanding of responsibility, accountability, and ethical conduct. The second section analyzes the legal and ethical architecture of worship. By detailing the obligations, conditions, integrals, and recommended elements of purification, prayer, fasting, almsgiving, and pilgrimage, the book situates each act of worship within its broader juristic structure. The text emphasizes that devotional practices are not merely ritual motions; they are legally organized acts designed to cultivate spiritual discipline, moral integrity, and social cohesion. Concepts such as purity, intention, lawful earning, gratitude, restraint, and communal responsibility appear throughout the explanations, reflecting their essential place in Islamic legal and ethical reasoning. With its sober prose, doctrinal clarity, and methodical organization, this ilmihal serves as a bridge between classical Islamic scholarship and contemporary educational needs. It is an essential reference for academic libraries, seminaries, structured study circles, and readers seeking a reliable, textually grounded introduction to Islamic belief and worship.
