Overview

Bleed-through drawings, skype video sessions, and mono-chrome paintings build the framework for the flood of emotion titled 3 Books. “Intimate, compelling, and uncompromising” — Mira Gonzalez, author of I will never be beautiful enough to make us beautiful together “A languid dream of sensuality and sex” — Aidan Koch, author of After Nothing Comes Bleed-through drawings, skype video sessions, and mono-chrome paintings build the framework for the flood of emotion titled 3 Books. Encompassing three discrete works that narra-tively entwine to create a singular whole, 3 Books is a radical departure from Blaise Larmee’s previous work in both tone and content. Blaise Larmee is an American cartoonist, critic, publisher, and artist, best known for his 2010 graphic novel Young Lions, his webcomic 2001, and his larger than life tumblr presence. He is a former fellow at the Center for Cartoon Studies, a recipient of the Xeric Grant for Self Publishing, and founder of Gaze Books. His recent publication, Comets Comets (2dcloud, 2014), appears in The Best American Comics 2015.
