Overview

If it takes a village to raise a child, then Sam, Nick and Chris are in luck. When their stepfather leaves them, their mother, Katharine, takes these three not-so-willing teens back to her childhood home, a rooming house run by her mother with some very interesting characters living in its twenty-plus rooms. The Grady family's story is told by the youngest member of the family, 15-year- old Samantha, as she struggles with leaving her friends behind, but at 27/29 Willow Street, she learns many lessons from the tenants there. Among those lessons are tolerance and acceptance, but the most important is that friends come in all shapes, colors, sizes and ages.
