汪辰，1969年生于北京。因家中祖父、外祖父好读书，藏书甚丰，自幼耳濡目染，热爱写作。 1988年考入北京航空航天大学外语系，任系刊主编。毕业后进入某国有进出口公司，曾代表公司常驻巴基斯坦、埃及，并多次走访阿富汗、斯里兰卡、孟加拉等国。2006年移民加拿大，获多伦多大学本科文凭，后参加多伦多大学创意写作班，进行小说写作。现定居加拿大多伦多。
