«Hero of the Play a changé ma vie, » déclarait Richard Harrison en 2004 dans l'édition 10e anniversaire de ce recueil de poèmes. That change has brought two more books of poetry in the 15 years since: Worthy of His Fall and the Governor General's Award-winning On Not Losing My Father's Ashes in the Flood. But all the while, his hockey poems kept writing, rewriting, and reimagining themselves. In October 2019, 25: Hockey Poems, New and Revised was launched at Calgary's Wordfest, and in November that year, Gilles Mossière launched 25: Poèmes de hockey, Inédits et revisités, Richard's first book to be translated in its entirety into French.

Gilles Mossière est né à Lyon (France) et a déménagé à Calgary en 1978 où il a obtenu une maîtrise en littérature francophone en 1991. Récemment retraité de l'Université Mount Royal où il a enseigné le français pendant 35 ans, il est membre agréé de l'Association des traducteurs et interprètes de l'Alberta depuis 1998, et de l'Association des traducteurs et traductrices littéraires du Canada depuis 2016. Il contribue à TransLit, l'anthologie de traductions littéraires publiée tous les deux ans par ces associations et été rédacteur en chef des volumes 10 et 11 (actuellement du volume 12). Gilles Mossière came to Calgary from Lyon, France, in 1978 and received an MA in French Literature in 1991. Recently retired from Mount Royal University where he taught French for 35 years, he has been a certified member of the Association of Translators and Interpreters of Alberta since 1998, and of the Association of Literary Translators of Canada since 2016. He has contributed to Translit, their biennial showcase of literary translations, and, after editing volumes 10 and 11, is preparing volume 12 of that anthology.
