邓泰和，著名画家和作家。祖籍广西桂林，久居上海。报社和出版社美编，上海市美术家协会会员。1981年赴美留学，取得艺术硕士学位。美术创作和设计，兼任月刊、艺术丛书和画报驻美国特约记者。小说、散文和绘画作品分别在中美两国获奖。已出版油画、抽象画专集等画册及文学著作，共计五十多本。其中诗集有《 绚斓与淡素 》（ 个人专集一，美国南方出版社出版 ）、《 海外华文作家诗歌选集 》（ 与其他诗人的合集，沃尔特-惠特曼出版社出版 ）。
