Loyal fans and first-time readers alike will find it easy to relate to the narrator of this illustrated chapter book, the twenty-first in the Mallory series. --Booklist Online -- (3/3/2014 12:00:00 AM)

When Chloe Jennifer moves into the house across the street, Mallory's best friend, Mary Ann, welcomes their new neighbor with open arms. Though Mallory tries to put a good face on, she's jealous and afraid. In a very readable, first-person narrative, Mallory relates what happens, how she feels, and (worse) what she can't believe she actually did. Friedman explores the difficulties of navigating a three-way friendship and of setting things right once they've gone horribly wrong. Loyal fans and first-time readers alike will find it easy to relate to the narrator of this illustrated chapter book, the twenty-first in the Mallory series. --Booklist Online --Website
