The world had died. Going out with a bang, followed by a whimper. Yet that wasn't the end of human life. As resilient as a weed, society ultimately returned, inch by inch, from the tragedies of the past. Things were far different in this new world despite how humans continued to be the same beings that wrought their own ends. Max Ferguson is a man living in this new world, doing his best to survive. However, in the middle of the night, while he slept, assassins were sent to capture him, but they ended up running off with his family. Now, Max has to gather his courage, wits, and his Grandfather's gift to come face to face with a legacy he had forgotten and left behind and save his family. How far would he be willing to go? How rough will the travel be through this hostile world? Only he can find out.
