Overview

In the early twenty-first century, nations and groups to vent their aggression and desire for revenge were amassing weapons of mass destruction. Unless they changed, they were racing toward a world of chaos and destruction. Extraordinary progress was being made in treating the genetic and cerebral underpinnings of violent, pathological behavior: the basis for self-destructive behavior. To eradicate the deadly trinity of weapons, revenge, and aggression, people decided to make accelerated changes to their genetic and mental makeup. The humans established 2084 as a milestone for having conquered the deadly trinity. This date chosen to be a century after George Orwell, author of 1984, had laid down the gauntlet for ending perpetual war. The reader looks back to today's world to learn how chaos and mass destruction can be averted if people have the vision and motivation to set aside the desire for power and control to make changes.
