An equestrian journal for 2026. Riders can record their care and riding activity for one horse. Each riding sheet prompts the rider to consider and record important aspects of riding such as location, warm-up, riding, cool-down routine, mood before & after ride, and more. Also included are reference diagrams for pole bending, barrel patterns, dressage courts (Large and Small) and the dressage training scale. The paperback book is printed in color and is a perfect size (8.25""x6"") to carry from the tack room to the trailer. Included pages are: Months-at-a-glance, Goal & plans, Basic info, Farriery, Bodywork, Medical, and deworming, Riding sheets for 205 rides. Each page has been designed by Stevie Lou Díaz using Inkscape, a free and open source software vector graphics editor (not AI!).

Author Information

Stevie Lou Díaz grew up in San Diego, California. She moved to Northern California at the age of eighteen and has been living in Humboldt County for 18+ years. She is an equestrian & author among other things. Stevie Lou earned her Bachelor's of Science Degree in Wildlife Management with an emphasis in Wildlife Disease Ecology and also has a background in Studio Art. She currently has two horses, a lovely reining mare and a young mustang that she is training with a mentor. She has rented pastures and done full care. She currently boards one horse across the fence and keeps one at home. Stevie Lou is the Assistant Barn Manager at her neighbor's boarding stables where she mucks stalls, provides horse care, and assists in horse management design such as fencing, arena maintenance, etc.. Stevie Lou has been involved with her local pony club and saddle clubs where she coordinated horse events from planning & publicizing to show secretary. When she is not working she can probably be found at the barn. When she is not working or at the barn she might be writing, probably something about horses.
