Overview2012: The Food of the Gods takes readers on a journey of truth; charting the course of humankind and why are we here? In addition unveils what influence the Georgia Guidestones have to do with population and mind control. This book, and even before the author wrote it, thought to myself; what is the America that I live in, and what does it mean to me to be an American? The answers were not hard to find, by reading the newspapers and watching the news every day, one can get a sense of what our America has become. I say what our America has become because this truly is our America, the America of the common man and woman. In attempting to understand this America one must start at the beginning. America was a country born of promise; the promise of freedom and liberty for all. Yet even at the birth of this country, there was a group of people that were not free. Without going into the issue of slavery which was a great concern even in the times of the founding of America, this hypocrisy that existed at the beginning was and continues to be something that haunts us as a country and a society. The true potential of this country of ours can never be fulfilled as long as we continue to pretend that this country was not formed on a lie. Those who do not learn from history are doomed to repeat it. And repeat it we have on a daily basis. This America, with its people who remain ignorant of what they have allowed it to become will continue to pay the price for that ignorance. We live in a democracy to be sure. Yet our government projects terror in the name of our Democracy in other countries. We live in a free enterprise system, yet many of our citizens live in poverty, and without adequate education. We spend billions of dollars to project our ideas on other countries. Yet many who live here continue to suffer. We have a system of government that is largely impotent. Except for the few rich, who continue to reap the benefits of this country's wealth at the expense of the many? We continue to vote for these rich cunts whose agenda is not in our wellbeing. But their agenda is the perpetuation of their own personal wealth. How many times have we seen a young fresh politician run for office, promising not to forget the common man? Promising to challenge the corruption in our government, then actually go to Washington and become corrupted by the system? This has happened too many times for my money.
