Categories include food, technology, home, and daily habits, and range from inconsequential preferences to absolute deal breakers. Here’s how it works: two people page through the book together. Each person decides which of two opposite illustrations best describes his or her personality. If they choose the same one, it’s a match! The plastic scoring wheel in the back of the book allows them to keep track of their number of matches. When finished, they see where their match number falls on the Scale of Compatibility, also in the back, to determine if they’re a good pair (or are at least suitable companions for a cup of coffee).
