1991 Housing Policy

Overview

The central position that housing occupies in individuals' lives makes the demand for it universal, its consumption therefore is imperative. The monogragh examined the functions required to be performed by local governmrt areas in kogi state between 1997-2000. The work showed that little was done vis-a-vis the functions contained in 1991 housing policy; budgetary allocation parameters were also not adhered to as no definite pattern could be discerned. The work will be useful to policy makers and facilitators in housing especially in developing countries where the need for housing is most pronounced.
