Fey, Ph.D. This book has extensive descriptions and photos of the known wide reeding (157 reeds) varieties that were struck by the U.S. mint. Common varieties as well as rare die varieties worth substantial premiums are listed in this book and easy to attribute. It's quite possible that one of your silver dollars currently worth about $50 in 2025 could be a rare die variety worth thousands of dollars. You would not know unless you compared your silver dollar to the pictures given in this book. A must have reference for collectors, investors and dealers in silver dollars. Morgan silver dollars are perhaps the most popular and collected type coin in numismatics today. Fey was elected to the Board of Governors of the 26,000 member American Numismatic Association (ANA) from 2005-2007. He currently services on the ANA Advisory Board.
