Emma Goldman (1869-1940) was an anarchist political activist and writer. Alexander Berkman (1870-1936) was a leading member of the anarchist movement in the early twentieth century. Ida Mett (1901-1973) was a Belorussian-born anarchist and author. Murray Bookchin (1921-2006) was an American anarchist and libertarian socialist author, orator, historian, and political theorist. Dan Georgakas is a Detroit-based writer, historian, and activist.
