To start with, Biblical isn't the correct standard we should be measuring ourselves against... An 'eye for an eye' is Biblical. One husband and many wives is Biblical. Samson growing his hair long & Paul telling men to keep their hair short is Biblical. Hermeneutics is a way to study the Bible (with or without Holy Spirit's help) to limit errors in doctrine, but it's a man-made process (and as such) has errors of its own. Christians follow a living Savior who promises that His sheep can hear His voice. When we get off track, He fights for us! Like Cory Asbury's song, Reckless Love, He lights up shadows, tears down walls, & climbs mountains to retrieve us! When you read the Bible, do this one thing differently - picture GOD teaching us to prioritize loving others like Jesus loves us. Anything that doesn't prioritize loving GOD first & loving and serving others second should be suspect. Be for others & not against them & don't judge or condemn others. How can we do that & still follow all the laws? It's very simple but very difficult to do. Jesus shows us how to do it. Jesus' Model concentrates on the work that needs to be done on me. I can't change you, but I can ask Jesus to change me. Jesus was perfect & without sin & gave grace to sinners by not consuming them with Holy Fire. The world does the exact opposite - we give grace to ourselves (since we know the extenuating circumstances) & we hold others to high standards (since they should know better). This is an obstacle between us & Jesus. This book was written to help remove it in the simplest possible way. This is an illustrated children's book for adults. The correct standard we should be striving towards is to act, speak & love like Jesus. The Bible is one of the amazing tools GOD gave us to help us do that (with His help).

There are only two teams in this world, Team Jesus and Team Satan. He who is not with Me is against Me, and He who does not gather with me scatters. - Jesus in Luke 11:23 (NIV). Most of the things we resist about Team Jesus are things Team Jesus should resist. How should outsiders view Team Jesus? What is Team Jesus? A community of people who follow the teachings of a man (we think He was more than a man) sent from God to explain God and to clear the path to God. What is there to resist about that? You don't have to agree with us or like us, but dislike us? What's to dislike unless there's more to it than that? This Jesus we follow primarily taught us to love each other. His one command: Love others as I have loved you. Three applications of His one command: -Love God -Love one another -Love your enemy So, what is there to resist about that?!? There should be nothing, NOTHING resistible about Team Jesus except one thing: our loyalty to Jesus Christ. A few years ago, Jesus grabbed my attention and invited me into a personal, intimate relationship with Him. At the time, I didn't feel He gave me much choice but now I'm so thrilled He didn't! He is so much bigger & better than the Bible and our ministers teach us! Even when things don't turn out as I expect, I can testify that I'm continuing to fall deeper& deeper in love with Him. I don't know why He picked a damaged, reclusive woman who liked animals much more than most humans to help Him tear down walls, light up shadows, and climb up mountains after His lost sheep, but I'm glad He did. First He needed to heal me & help me love humans more than animals, then He asked me to start a journey with Him. Writing books is part of this journey.
