Overview

[...] this volume represents an important progress for the sources concerning the research on Leibniz and his cultural and intellectual milieu exactly in the years between the end of the 17th and the beginning of the 18th century. Paolo Bussotti in: Zentralblatt MATH 1338 To conclude, this volume [...] constitutes a further improvement in our knowledge of Leibniz's texts and of his intellectual network. The long and accurate introduction by Charlotte Wahl and James O'Hara, gives a precious insight on the development of all the main themes across the volume as well as a precise picture of their historical background, while the rich apparatus of indexes is a fundamental tool for orientating the reader in such a vast set of themes. Fundamental as it is to acknowledge a relevant period of Leibniz's life, this volume provides also a great point of view for a wide panoramic of the state of mathematical and scientific research in Europe at the turning point of the century. Federico Silvestri in: Studia Leibnitiana 49.1 (2017), 117-127
