Author Information

Born and raised in Philadelphia, Jim McKairnes is a longtime TV executive and writer who now serves as a media teacher and educational consultant. He's taught at DePaul University in Chicago, Temple University in Philadelphia, where he served as Verizon Chair at its School of Media and Communications, and the Nashville Film Institute. He's also author of the memoir THE SHEEP IS WHAT MAKES IT FUNNY: FROM PHILADELPHIA TO CBS, HOW I FOUND MYSELF IN TELEVISION, about his road to and long tenure as a television programming executive in Los Angeles.
