One of the most respected football magazines in the country, next year marks a momentous anniversary for the AFL Record. On April 27, 1912the first round of the Victorian Football Leagues 16th seasonthe VFL published the first edition of what was then called The Football Record. Corresponding with a season in which players carried numbers on their guernseys for the first time, the magazine quickly became an essential source of commentary, analysis and statistics for eager footy fans across the country. To celebrate next years centenary The Slattery Media Group, the official publisher of the AFL since 1995, is creating the ultimate collectors edition of the Recorda 6800-page reproduction of every Grand Final edition. From Essendons triumph in 1912 to this years 244-page souvenir, the full-colour magazines will be published in their entirety in a beautifully presented boxed set.
