Dr. Sari Fine Shepphird is a clinical psychologist, eating disorders specialist, and author of the book 100 Questions and Answers about Anorexia Nervosa (Jones & Bartlett). Working with a full spectrum of eating disorders issues, her experience on the subject spans nearly twenty years. In addition to maintaining an outpatient private practice, she provides consultation about eating disorders to the media as well as to other treatment providers. Dr. Shepphird is a Medical Health Expert Blogger for Wellsphere.com, a Popular Culture Blog writer for Encyclopedia Britannica Online, and she also authors Treatment Notes, a Weblog for professional treatment providers who wish to learn more about eating disorders. Dr. Shepphird is currently a member of the Board of Directors for the California Psychological Association and also serves in leadership positions for several other mental health organizations and committees.
