Batchelor, John (100 HISTORIC SHIPS IN FULL COLOR) has been drawing aircraft, ships, tanks and things technical since he was four years old. The author of previous Dover publications, he has also illustrated books for the multi-volume Time-Life series on the histories of seafaring, flight, the Second World War, the Third Reich, and the Vietnam experience. A pilot of light aircraft, Mr Batchelor is also a collector of 'proper' jazz, and carries a sketchbook wherever he goes. Apart from drawing, he is happiest driving tanks, flying aircraft, ad going to sea in ships. The award-winning artist, who lives in Dorset, England, has exhibited his work widely in a number of international galleries.
