OverviewIn this study we will be looking at Paul's letters to the church at Thessalonica. These letters have a large focus on the end times and we will look at these in detail. Because of this end times focus, this study will also include a significant sub-study of the book of Revelation, chapters 4 through 22, as well as references to the books of Daniel and Matthew. This sub-study is required to gain much needed context of the last days and allow us to better understand Paul's references to the great apostacy, the coming of the Lord, and the judgement that is to come. Given that there are many interpretations and opinions on the timing and sequence of events during the last days, our approach in this study will be to look solely at scripture and let scripture interpret itself. We will look at it in the way it is written, taking the most logical, simple, and straight forward path for our study. We will look at these events based strictly on what scripture says, and leave what may be considered by some as denominational theology aside. We will do this in order to get to the root of the truth by again, letting scripture speak for itself. That being said, we can then be at peace and take comfort in the one truth which is that God did not appoint us to wrath, but to obtain salvation.
