Overview

Der Maler und Grafiker Claus Haase (1930-2020) stammte aus Altenburg in Thüringen. Er ging 1953 nach West-Berlin, wo er seine künstlerische Ausbildung erhielt. Hier lebte er und fand in der Architektur des alten wie des modernen Berlin seine Motive. Sein vielseitiges Werk umfasst Aquarelle, Radierungen und Lithografien, Acryltechnik, Pinsel-, Tusche- und Bleistiftbilder. Von 1971 bis 1993 war Haase als wissenschaftlicher Zeichner für das Deutsche Archäologische Institut (DAI) in Berlin tätig.
