Javier Rodriguez, a native of Jersey City, New Jersey, is an emerging talent with a passion for writing and illustrating children's books. He attended primary and secondary schools in his hometown eventually enrolling in Hudson County Community College where he attempted to study accounting. Deciding that accounting wasn't his path, he studied personal training and veterinary assisting through online classes. He is currently working as a veterinary technician and is married with three children. During his studies he developed a love for writing and had considered writing mystery novels or ghost stories based on personal experience. He struggled to find the spark to write about those subjects and came up empty. But it was in his experiences as a father to two daughters and a son that he found the catalyst for his creativity. In 2014 he created the character Tick Tock which he brought to life his first book, Tick Tock Didn't Listen, the story of a young clock that refuses to listen to his parents. It is Rodriguez's self-published first children's book. He soon followed with his second book Jerry the Octopus. Now with two books under his belt he continues to create new stories and characters that he looks forward to introducing to young readers
