Author Information

PENNY FIELDS-SCHNEIDER worked as a Registered Nurse before completing a Bachelor of Arts and Diploma of Education, and henceforth, redesigning her life as a secondary teacher. An avid reader from a very young age, Penny has always aspired to be an author. In recent years, Penny became seduced by the world of art, dabbling with her brushes, attending art courses and visiting galleries. Her love of art inspired the writing of her first novel, which grew into the Portraits in Blue series. Penny is determined to create works of historical fiction that leave readers with a deeper understanding of the art world as well as taking readers on emotional journeys into the joy and heartbreak that comes with family, friendship and love. When Penny is not writing, she enjoys helping her husband on their cattle farm in northern NSW, loving every minute she can spend with their children and grandchildren as well as catching up with friends and family.
