Author Information

James Mann is the author of the New York Times bestseller Rise of the Vulcans: The History of Bush's War Cabinet and The China Fantasy: How Our Leaders Explain Away Chinese Repression, among others. He is currently author-in-residence in the Paul H. Nitze School of Advanced International Studies at Johns Hopkins University. Mann has also served as staff writer for the Los Angeles Times, the Washington Post, the Baltimore Sun, and other publications. He has earned a number of awards, including the New York Public Library Helen Bernstein Award for best book of the year by a journalist and the Asia-Pacific Award for the best book about Asia. Mirron Willis--actor of film, stage, and television--is the winner of the prestigious Audie Award for best narration in 2012 and a finalist for the Audie in 2015, as well as the winner of several AudioFile Earphones Awards for his audiobook recordings. He has worked extensively in film and television and on stage with the Oregon Shakespeare Festival, the Houston Shakespeare Festival, and the Ensemble Theatre, among others.
