OverviewFrom the moment Vanessa Martin set foot inside the world's most renowned children's hospital she knew that if she got through her first day then she may well have a career as a trainee paediatric nurse. But she had to get through the day. It wasn't easy since her first run in was with the very strict and orderly matron. Things didn't exactly go to plan but Vanessa was young, passionate and determined to succeed. What follows is a heart-warming, life-affirming at times heart-breaking account of her time there. Her only motivation was to care and nurse the many children who had to be treated at this remarkable hospital.
