Christian Chiakulas is a teacher, activist, writer, and game designer from Chicago. They began writing fiction at the age of twelve thanks to a favorite English teacher, and try to be that teacher to their students today. They obtained an MA in History from Fort Hays State University in 2023 with a thesis on American abolitionist John Brown, and co-founded Red Star Ministry to advance progressive and left-wing discourse around religion and Christianity. They live on the northwest side of the city with their partner Sara, two kids, dog Zeus, and cats Persephone and Freddy.
